Orange Guinea Fowl

These days gloomy make you want to pamper yourself with something good, so today I prepared this delicious guinea-fowl with a nice side of baked red potatoes. Apart from the long cooking time the recipe is very easy and gives a great satisfaction because with really few ingredients including the red oranges of the season the result is delicious. The sauce created by the oranges and onion gives the meat sweet sour taste really to lick the mustache, that's why I share it immediately! Try to believe! Continue reading

Onions with balsamic vinegar

Cebollas con vinagre balsamico

This year me and a couple of colleagues, we embark on a new adventure!  We adopted a garden through the site ortiamo.it! So our factor (Igor Montanari) during this hot summer, twice a week, brings fresh vegetables from our garden collection! And we join them in new recipes because I know who has a garden, a vegetable in season, ends and there is in iperabbondanza and don’t know how to Cook!

Our garden produced lots of tasty onions, so did this recipe, onions with balsamic vinegar, I know, I’ve discovered hot water and probably if you use supermarket onions are not even as good, but mine were so good that I cannot but share the recipe just in tribute to our factor!!! Tamarind chicken soup

Today we return to ethnic tastes and my version of chicken soup to tamarindo.  Tamarind is a typical ingredient in Asian cuisine I tasted in a variety of combinations during my travels in Asia, still remember with tamarind crab ambush watering I munched on Phu Quoc Beach in Viet Nam now has quite a few years ago.

I read recently, among the recipes of a blogger I follow (elder Flower), a stew of chicken in tamarind and peanuts and since I love the tamarind, I decided to try it, then while I could have lent the preparation I changed direction and decided not to make a stew from the sauce, but rather a genuine Thai-style soup because if there is another thing I love is dunking a lump of glutinous rice in coconut milk sauce and I didn’t want to totally deprive me and my guests to this delicacy, especially if in the sauce there is also the taste of tamarind!

So I set off on a tangent and the recipe has become remotely inspired by the original!  Try it I’m sure you lick his whiskers, too! Continue reading
